Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Ready. Set. Book. mobile application and this website, operated by Ready Set Book App LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Ready. Set. Book.", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.
1. Who the app is for
The app has two kinds of user. A professional is a salon professional or business that offers services and takes bookings. A client is a person who books those services. You must be at least 18 years old to create a professional account, and at least 13 to create a client account.
2. We are the software, not the service
Ready. Set. Book. provides booking and client management software. The services booked through the app are performed by independent professionals and businesses. We do not employ them, supervise their work, set their prices, or guarantee the quality, safety, licensing or legality of what they provide. Any dispute about a service is between the client and the professional.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Do not share logins.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
4. Professionals
- You set your own services, prices, hours and cancellation policy, and you are responsible for honouring them.
- You are responsible for holding any licence, registration, insurance or permit your work requires.
- You are responsible for your own tax obligations on what you earn.
- Client records you store in the app belong to your business. You are responsible for handling them lawfully.
5. Clients
- Show up, or cancel inside the professional's stated cancellation window.
- Deposits, late cancellation fees and no-show fees are set by the professional and disclosed before you book.
- Treat professionals and their premises with respect.
6. Bookings, payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Where a professional requires a deposit or payment at the time of booking, that payment is made to the professional through Stripe, and any platform fee is disclosed before you confirm.
Refunds and cancellations follow the policy the professional has published for that service. We can help both sides see what was agreed, but the decision on a refund rests with the professional unless the law says otherwise.
7. Fees
The app is free for clients. Professionals pay a subscription or platform fee, which is disclosed before you subscribe and may change on notice. Fees already paid for a current period are not refunded when a fee changes.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or for any service that is unlawful where it is performed.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Scrape, copy or resell the app's data, or attempt to access another user's data.
- Interfere with the app's operation or security.
- Post content that is false, abusive, harassing, or that infringes someone's rights.
9. Content you provide
You keep ownership of the content you put into the app, including your photos, service descriptions and client records. You grant us a licence to host, store and display that content for the purpose of operating the app for you.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that creates risk for other users, or where we are required to by law. Sections 2, 11, 12, 13 and 14 survive termination.
11. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ready Set Book App LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ready Set Book App LLC from claims, losses and expenses arising from your use of the app, your breach of these terms, the services you provide or receive, or your violation of any law or third party right.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Utah have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to venue there.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
